BRIEF ABOUT SEMINAR ON VIGILANCE & ETHICS IN PUBLIC PROCUREMENT – DECEMBER 2019:

IRILMM’s organised 2-days Seminar on Vigilance and Ethics in Public Procurement Awareness helps efficient decision making” held on 16-17 December 2019 at ‘Maple’ Conference Hall, India Habitat Center, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Seminar was inaugurated and conducted by Bhaskar Narang, DG/IRILMM & Course Director; Gajanand Prasad, ED/IRILMM & Course Coordinator and welcomed to the ‘Chief Guest’ P.C. Sharma, Member (Materials Management), Railway Board and ‘Guest of Honour’ R.L. Bharadwaj, CMM, Northern Railway. There were 17 participants from PSUs, and Railways. 


TOPICs: Overview of Public Procurement Act, Lokpal and Lokayukt; Use of Technology & Forensic in Vigilance; Risk & precautions in Public Procurement of Goods, Works and Service Contracts; Role of Transparency International, Integrity Pact, RTI & CII in containing corruption; Spirituality the Way for Honesty and Stress Management; Role of Private Sector in prevention of corruption in Public Procurement-Anti competitive & Cartel Behaviour; Causes of corruption, Vigilance procedures and strategy to tackle corruption; A case study (Vigilance Case)-Railway/PSU; & CTE and CTE type inspection: Scrutiny of Public Procurement Contracts
